@ClintMasters_@NicR1999_ Burgess is basically a poor man’s Souttar except he’s left footed. Now that the real deal is fit again, very tough for him to be back in that starting XI again.

@Kuta15@aoluwatayo047@paris_wisdom Not a hater; was ecstatic for him when he won the ACL all those years back but it was some years back now & surely even you’d think he would’ve evolved his coaching by now to take on the national team job. That’s not hate.
@Kuta15@aoluwatayo047@paris_wisdom As long as Popovic is still in charge, their development will be stagnated somewhat by his ultra defensive setup & philosophy so won’t see the absolute best of them in a long time.
@DeanRosario Two stand out for me: Norway, though most people wouldn’t call them that, but the real one for me is Cape Verde. They actually are a damn good team who actually play some awesome football. They just spanked Serbia 3-0 recently.
@iammikailozturk@AliG040803 I think Irvine & sadly Ryan will still be there in 4 years; not enough leadership in the team so they’ll be there for that. Geria, Degenek, Hrustic & Mabil won’t as we’ll have fresh new talent in their positions by then.
@Socceroos The only positives I see from here are naming Herrington, Volpato finally choosing to play for us & the fact that 8 third placed teams can advance to the knockout stages cos theoretically we’ll only to win just one game here to advance. That’s about it.
@NicR1999_ It all depends on if our players & their agents make good career decisions on where their next transfers will be. Too many of them go to Europe way before they’re ready or go to a league that’s way beyond their level & once they do they gotta stay injury free to keep their spots.
@BinManIan@DeanRosario Probably so but too little too late if you ask me. There were more players deserving of a WC spot who performed better from start to finish all season or provide a genuine x-factor (Adams, Younis, Taylor) because at this stage ol’ Nish doesn’t have it right now.
@BinManIan@DeanRosario Nishan hasn’t been anywhere near the same player he was before his injury last year. Yeah he’s shown glimpses here & there this season but enough to warrant a WC berth? And this is coming from a Victory fan.
@Tom_Hockman Ref’s explanation: “I can’t send him off. Too early in the game, if I do, this whole place will riot and the fans will walk out, so I gotta keep the entertainment factor going no matter what. Plus I’ve been paid by the Mexican FA to favour them all game lol” 😜
