@OperationalInc1@ratcoffin1 Key cloning, especially for recent Toyotas, then shipped overseas. Plus liquor venue & tobacco shop firebombings use stolen cars.
But I'm not sure that's enough to explain all of the increase..
Artificial intelligences do not undergo experiences, do not possess a body, do not feel joy or pain, do not mature through relationships, and do not know from within what love, work, friendship or responsibility mean. Nor do they have a moral conscience, since they do not judge good and evil, grasp the ultimate meaning of situations, or bear responsibility for consequences. They may imitate or even simulate, but they do not understand what they produce, for they lack the affective, relational, and spiritual perspective through which human beings grow in wisdom. #MagnificaHumanitas
Future people will look back on current discussions about LLMs being conscious in the same way that we look back on Victorians discussing whether the telephone could be used to contact the spirit world.
@OperationalInc1 . @ttcdoors seems to be an excellent account campaigning for actual full PSDs tho.
If there's more incidents like the poor kid at North Melbourne, we'll get more calls for them for core stations here too
@SketchesbyBoze@humantransit The original analysis, for anyone who cares. *Some* sections are highly likely to be AI, according to multiple lines of evidence, including Pangram https://t.co/XtO1KZSLbK
@asubparusername@aussiewongm Canada is spending 26 years & billions of $ to refurbish & renovate theirs so people can go underneath. Meanwhile people can already go on top of ours (well, used to...)
London Underground station flooding has reportedly been reduced by around 90% thanks to a group of engineers: beavers.
After conservationists reintroduced a family of beavers into a nearby city park, the animals built dams and restored wetlands that now absorb and slow floodwater naturally.
Authorities had planned major man-made flood infrastructure, but the beavers effectively created their own system — while also boosting biodiversity and restoring the ecosystem around them.
@AusRailHistory@OperationalInc1 And he's still on the same low-income coverage vs commuter ridership dichotomy to this day, as if it's a universal fact
@humantransit Please consider revising your view on Melbourne's temporary free PT, given more accurate data now shows ridership up 25%, and >100% for regional V/Line trains on weekends https://t.co/qFn1jnLSuM
