@peters_malcolm Property will need to fall significantly for most young people to be able to genuinely afford a home. Buy a home at a level where you will be in debt for 30yrs+, add to that the ‘threat’ of a recession and AI taking your job during that period. That’s a fecking risky bet.

@KobeissiLetter I asked Grok how many layoffs in the last 12 months in big Tech and Consulting firms, reckons it’s easily 400k+. I worked in tech for 36yrs, laid off in 2024, aged ‘over 50’. Luckily I prepared for me and my family coz I know I ain’t getting another job in that industry again.

@DarioCpx This weirdly brought chills to me, I was on the London Stock Exchange trading floor on Monday the 19th Oct 1987 (Black Monday). I had an interview to be a ‘Runner’. All hell kicked off, people literally screaming and shouting, needless to say I didn’t get the job. It was crazy.
