Statement from the Black Conservative Federation Regarding Federal Funding Pause

In light of the recent federal directive to pause certain financial assistance programs, the Black Conservative Federation (BCF) wants to reassure our community that this freeze does not affect individual benefit programs such as EBT, Medicare, Medicaid, or any direct payments to individuals. The White House has explicitly confirmed that programs providing essential benefits to Americans—including Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and SNAP—are excluded from this suspension.

This pause will not interrupt disaster recovery efforts, funding for schools and childcare, healthcare for seniors or low-income families, infrastructure projects, or meal services. We are committed to clarifying any misinformation surrounding this issue.

We have noted reports indicating that some state Medicaid portals have experienced outages following the announcement. The White House has recognized these challenges but assures us that no payments have been affected and that systems are expected to be operational again soon.

Black Conservative Federation remains dedicated to supporting our community during this period. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as necessary. If you have any concerns or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
