We've started confusing constant communication with genuine closeness. I came across an article this week that's called "Why constant communication creates a false sense of intimacy".And it made me really think about how we build relationships, especially in terms of dating. When you first start talking to someone, texting all day can feel really, really fun. Texting all day can feel incredibly intimate, you know how they slept, what they have for breakfast. How that meeting went, what they're doing later that night. And I do think that there is something very exciting and alluring about having someone woven into those ordinary moments of your life. The article talks about something very important though, which is how texting and texting all the time can blur the judgment of how close we are with someone. We begin to mistake access for connection. So if the message is slowed down or stoped, it can feel really really disorienting, not necessarily because the relationship was deeply rooted, but the communication made it feel that way. It's possible to know everything about someone's day without actually knowing them, which is really weird. Texting can tell you about what's happening in someone's life, but it can't actually tell you who they are. You learn who they are by seeing how they move through the world, how they treat other people. What they notice, what makes them laugh, how they respond, when things don't go according to plan, and the parts of themselves that don't always translate through a screen. I don't think it's a matter of fully stop texting or shutting all of the texting down or ghosting anyone. Being conscious that while texting can keep a connection alive, it can never replace the type of closeness and connection that happens when two people share the same room.
Everything you want is on the other side of not giving a fuck, asking again, and taking another shot. Life gives you endless lottery tickets to try and you only need one win to change your life forever .
Every relationship gets boring eventually. Yes, even marriage.
The mistake is thinking boredom means you picked the wrong person. That early butterflies and constant excitement were never meant to last forever.
Eventually, you get comfortable. The smart ones don’t throw away someone who loves them because the honeymoon feeling faded. They learn how to build something deeper after the excitement dies.
@pallnandi I'll say take advice, listen, improve where necessary, but don’t become so desperate to please someone that you forget what you actually want.
@pallnandi She didn’t fall for the upgraded version she designed. She fell for the man who already had a spine, hobbies, and opinions she didn’t pick. Once those go, respect usually follows.
@pallnandi Exactly. A relationship should sharpen a man's character, not erase it. The right woman will challenge your habits without trying to own your identity. If keeping her requires becoming someone else, you are not being loved, you are being managed.
Never let a woman redesign you into the man she thinks she wants. The moment you abandon your identity to keep her happy, you stop being the man she fell for. Grow, improve, evolve, but never become her project. Attraction dies when you lose yourself trying to earn her love.
Um dos maiores erros que você pode cometer é gastar tempo passando stories no Instagram.
Você frita o cérebro vendo uma enxurrada de resultados (viagens, festas, carros e momentos) sem enxergar nada do processo que levou cada um até ali.
You need to understand this... everything that's worth it is hard. It takes TIME.
Everyone wants everything so damn fast that they cut corners on their lives. They leave great jobs cause they want a title promo too fast, they quit side hustles because they didn’t get enough followers or dollars in year one and yet it would have been great if they waited and had 2 more years of patience.
Please my friends…. lean into patience and consistency & discipline.
Something I noticed about resilient people: They don't have fewer problems. They have faster reset times. Bad news hits at 9am. By 10am, they're back to their priorities. They feel it, process it, and move. The speed of the reset matters more than the size of the setback.
Intelligent people don't seek validation. They don’t have that "need" to prove anything. And when you’re around them, you can feel it too. The confidence. The security they have. You feel calm just by being in their presence. You feel more like yourself. They ask deep questions no one asks. They notice small things. They make you feel special. Just pure calm simplicity. That's intelligence. Not looks, clothes, money, status. All that is surface. It's performative. Real intelligence is quiet. No show off. No exaggerations. Intelligent people make you feel understood, not impressed.
If you’re not coming from money and you don’t have family connections opening doors for you, please take self-development VERY seriously.
You genuinely don’t have the luxury of just finishing school and sitting down waiting for life to figure itself out.
A tree grows in two directions at the same time. It's always growing down and growing up. And what's interesting is the root system mirrors the the fruit system. Now here's what's fascinating about a tree. Its nature is both gravitropic and phototropic, so the root system grows away from light and toward gravity, and before the tree can never grow upward, the seed first has to grow downward into darkness, resistance, pressure and dirt. The roots literally have to fight their way deeper underground, but once the tree breaks through the surface and starts growing upward there is less resistance and honestly that is one of the the most beautiful pictures of how life works. Because the work you do in the dark, when nobody sees you, when life feels difficult and heavy is what creates the success we all admire later in the light. Everybody wants the fruit, everybody wants the visible success, recognition and results, but very few people are willing to go through the lonely seasons that created it.
