Words really fast @MajorityDems. "...cleverly written, snarky, and downright funny." Fmr. WH Dir. of Black Media. Always: @MichiganDems, @PeteButtigieg.
Former Biden people are furious at the First Lady’s comments given how hard Bates worked for the Bidens.
Former Biden spokesperson @Rodericka goes on the record: “Why are we rehashing years-old scores and clinging to relevancy to sell books about palace intrigue within a wing that doesn’t even exist anymore? Focusing on this instead of the bleak reality Americans have been experiencing in the same time frame is exactly why we lost in 24.”
On the picket line tonight with @UAW Local 2093 in Three Rivers:
A worker collapsed from the heat on the job, had an ambulance called...and got written up by management for missing three days.
"We're not asking for a lot. We're asking for enough."
No contract, no axles. ✊
Today in @freep: A tactic so baffling and insulting to reporters’ intelligence that I would not believe had I not seen it myself.
A real disservice to the congresswoman.
NEW from @katherinealong in @politico this AM:
"McMorrow released sweeping plans laying out her policies for tackling AI this week. She argues that more Democrats should make AI a top priority in their campaigns and policy agendas."
Hm. If only there were a place (maybe a room?), big enough to fit every reporter covering the conference, where the congresswoman could’ve clarified her comments herself.
Once again, a staffer wheels themselves out for clean up duty.
Inshallah we’ll find Haley
Stevens campaign spokesperson responds to this moment: “Haley has been very consistent: she supports eliminating the filibuster to do what’s right for Michigan families, including to codify abortion rights and raise the minimum wage. She believes the filibuster led to Republicans’ use of the reconciliation process that resulted in devastating cuts to Michiganders’ health care so they could offset tax cuts for billionaires.”
Mackinac Policy Conference attendees:
Be sure to give your unused horse taxi tickets to drivers before you leave the island.
This is cash in their pockets.
#MPC26
The story of AIPAC’s brand damage in one candidate.
In 2022, Levin couldn’t convince voters that AIPAC was some evil MAGA force and Stevens recorded a video thanking AIPAC by name.
In 2026, the AIPAC support is cloaked and Stevens completely evaded a Q about how they help her.
NEW in the New York Times
When @HaleyStevens was asked what meant that she had accepted campaign contributions from donors to AIPAC, the pro-Israel lobbying group,
“she spoke 160 words without coming remotely close to answering the question.”
NEW from @IKrietzberg in @PuckNews:
"Michigan Senate candidate Mallory McMorrow is jumping in front of the unstoppable A.I. freight train, betting that anxious voters are hungry for a pragmatic, informed approach."

I’d say that maybe this headline dropping the day before the debate is the reason why Haley Stevens didn’t take any questions after the debate, but she’s been dodging since she got in.
Not a single campaign event since launching *13* months ago.
And it remained that way after the debate as well. Haley Stevens’ attempting a bait and switch with MI press corps + national reporters, sending out a staffer to answer Qs on the congresswoman’s behalf instead of doing it herself.
I genuinely have no idea what Haley Stevens is actually trying to say in any of her answers. Extremely platitude heavy. Unclear if they are set pieces or off the cuff, which is not a good sign.
So far this is the McMorrow and El-Sayed show #MIsen
