Things didn't go exactly how we hoped but I am so proud of our team and how we played this weekend. We finished 3-2 but it was a great trip and we grew a lot as a team. Check out my Hudl Highlight - Hub City Tip Off Highlights, on @Hudl at - https://t.co/Px5IONWzkM
As I conclude my 12 years of service in the legislature, I want to express my gratitude to the people of district 53 and Oklahoma. Serving you has been a honor and a privilege.
Our nation’s democratic system functioned last night and we have a new President-elect. All Americans are bound, whether we like the outcome or not, to accept the results of our elections. We now have a special responsibility, as citizens of the greatest nation on earth, to do everything we can to support and defend our Constitution, preserve the rule of law, and ensure that our institutions hold over these coming four years. Citizens across this country, our courts, members of the press and those serving in our federal, state and local governments must now be the guardrails of democracy.
America could wake up on Wednesday with all three branches of our government — the — Executive, Legislative, and Judicial — Trumpist.
With this clip, take five minutes to ponder Germany’s memorials and the price that nation paid for being bamboozled by a bombastic autocrat. Listen to the heartfelt message of my German tour guides, for whom these memorials are like ghosts of mistakes made and evils allowed… ghosts that haunt their society still. These are the same guides who clink glasses in the beer halls and yodel from the hilltops with our American tour members. They admire America. They love America. And they are worried for America.
If we vote for fascism, it’ll likely be won by one or two percent (or even less)…and perhaps just a few stadiums of people will tip the balance. And history has taught my European friends that the cost of a course correction is infinitely more heartbreaking after a wannabe dictator wins an election than before. We are all participants, we are all responsible, and we will all bear the consequences of our collective choice.
Please do not fall for the Stitt power grab on throwing three distinguished Justices off the Oklahoma Supreme Court. Vote Yes to retain. 3 new Stitt appointees would create a highly political court that would not serve Oklahoma’s best interest.
District MVP...Incredibly proud of @CooperR1c5. Undefeated in the regular season and district in singles in a stacked district. Lots of individual sacrifice and commitment throughout the year to achieve this award. @kdrich09 @jscottr215 @TylerRich65@PressPassSports
Here’s another thing: Kamala Harris is a good person. She’s a decent person. Donald Trump is an utterly horrible human being.
That should matter too. It really should.
Question out of pure curiosity for you who are part of a denomination. In no way throwing shade on denominations. Always been part of one. Would you say you are in total agreement with every doctrinal interpretation of your denomination? Not asking where you differ. Asking IF you differ &, if so, roughly how much. If your denomination is distinguishable by, for example, 10 tenets, do you line up 100%? Then answer 10/10. If, say, you mostly lineup, estimate how much. 7/10? 8/10?
I lived and practiced in Tishomingo and Johnston County for 29 years before moving to Norman 18 years ago. Both our kids attended Tish schools. I don’t know these young men or their families, and this is terrible, but I was not aware of any overt racism during my time there.
🎉It's official!🎉
