The day before Slot was announced to be leaving, there was an internal power struggle at LFC. Richard Hughes was at the centre of it, he tried & nearly persuaded the others to stick with Slot, until eventually agreeing.

That’s despite the decision already being an open secret for the 7-10 days before that.

I’ve been told he won’t be at the club next season but may be there until the end of this summer window. The club is actively seeking a replacement.

Personally, I think he needs to go too. He’s had disastrous time negotiating deals and renewals.

Same with the news I posted about Slot (turned out to be true) - take this with a pinch of salt 🤷🏼‍♂️😂

@_Riddock_ While I’m not sold on Darwin back, of the elements he struggled with massively outside of finishing was communicating with others including managers. There’s a thought of play that a Spanish speaking manager would get through to him to use his work rate and refine his end ball.
