@joecarlsonshow I was initially on the DUOL train with you. But having spent the last year using it…I’m out. I find the format not very conducive to progress; after a year of using it every single day, I still don’t feel like I know any conversational Italian, just some vocab. I’m canceling.
@hx706@Jason "exports to Vietnam were $13.1 billion while U.S. goods imports from Vietnam totaled $136.6 billion in 2024."
And? Why is that itself a problem? The US is (a) way bigger than Vietnam, and (b) way richer than Vietnam. You're never going to have "equal" trade w/ a poor country.
@aletechview You're assigning way too much blame to the Fed. For one thing, the primary contributing factor to high inflation was the gobs of money the fed gov't printed in 2020. Second...the Fed chair is the last role you want to be a political football.
@Pilestedt Any plans to work on enemy movement audio generation? My squad and I keep getting blindsided by sneaky bile spewers the size of an SUV and stealthy strider factories the size of a building.
@Investmentkage@joecarlsonshow What I find most frustrating though is that you can’t do certain options strategies with a cash account — even if you put up cash as collateral. They automatically move you to a “margin” account, even if you don’t use margin, and then you lose the 5% interest on all your cash.
@TheHookUp1 Agreed, and I basically own every single Apple product ever. I’m not going to get one…at least this version. It’s a very v1 experimental product. But it’s a pathway to…something. I don’t know what exactly yet, but there’s some impressive stuff here, even if it’s not practical.
I knew it was bad, but I didn’t know it was this bad. A birth rate of only 1.09, population projected to drop by more than half before the end of the century. https://t.co/utqYkv8mFp

@DougDeMuro Um...Land Rover Defender 130? *ducks*
I guess the Lexus GX would have the same downsides as the Sequoia since they're the same platform. Between the Sequoia/GX and the GCL...I'd go with the Toyota because I've also heard the Jeep is terribly unreliable.
