Priority of operations - first evaluate the indices, I.e. square roots, then you have left multiply, divide, multiple which have equal Priority so you evaluate them from left to right.

@mathsplanner I use B mostly and sometimes A. The arrows in B help me explain the step by step process. I don't know how to explain the lines in C and D and they seem to me to be a distraction.
