The return of the hostages is as good an opportunity as any to take a long hiatus from this platform. It was great talking and analyzing things with all of you. If you request access to my private substack https://t.co/wrAnHcXFyM I will grant it.
@ChronicBabak@SonnyBunch If you bothered to read the article you'd learn that this is a hard floor on Hamas fighters killed. These are fighters that the IDF was able to identify with an ID number. The real number is very obviously much higher.
3rd grade reading difficulties strike again I see.
@ChronicBabak@SonnyBunch Totally that’s why 22,000 of them are dead, the entire leadership is dead, and Hamas is utterly unable to mount any sort of resistance to IDF action. But sure, they’re not defeated. Enjoy your delusions, I’ll be traveling to Israel in a few months and will savor the victory.
@ChronicBabak@SonnyBunch Zero receipts? What are you talking about? The list of hostages has been published many times, as has the fact that only 2 of the remaining 20 hostages were active duty in the IDF. Everything I’ve said is trivial to verify.
@ChronicBabak@SonnyBunch Aside from the stupidity of claiming that an off-duty reservist is a "non-civilian", you claimed that Hamas offered to "refund" all Israeli captives. That did not occur. Again, learn to read at a 3rd grade level.
Seems like the Trump/Kushner vulgar dealmaking style is just more effective for Middle East geopolitics than the outwardly highminded "Peace Studies" approach preferred by Democrats and their nonprofit proxies. Harris win would surely have meant no ceasefire now.
This is, indeed, what happened.
Consistent with the claims that Sinwar didn't expect an Israeli invasion, to say nothing of his actual goals to defeat Israel.
Inconsistent with the claims that Sinwar was trying to "draw Israel into Gaza".
If we do not fully exploit the opportunity, the enemy will succeed in controlling the chaos, which may lead to a counterattack or outside assistance, ultimately turning the situation against us. Therefore, it is essential to be ready for the flow of forces, development of the attack, its expansion, and reinforcement to the maximum during the first six to ten hours in order to establish solid facts on the ground that will thwart any possibility of a counterattack."
@kchoudhu Look I can’t disagree - that’s exactly my point! People should take his, and the rest of Hamas’, delusions seriously.
But one component of his delusion was that 2m Israeli Arabs were just waiting to have the upper hand so they could do Hamas brutality, which was utterly false.
@kchoudhu But he accidentally ignited riots among Israeli Arabs in 2021. Hamas has quite a presence in the West Bank. Israel’s security establishment had been warning of the risk of a third intifada for a few years. It wasn’t completely implausible!
