Tamilnadu Government's (#TVKVijay) net borrowings and other liabilities stood at ₹30,021.39 crore during April - August 2026. This is ₹7,060.68 crore lower than the ₹37,082.07 crore recorded during the corresponding period of 2025 - 26, a decline of around 19%. In August alone, the net figure was negative at ₹2,903.72 crore, indicating a reduction in the net liability position during the month. The case resurfaced after an anonymous complaint accompanied by a pen drive containing video evidence was handed over to the police.
