Yesterday, I attended Santosh Pandit’s court proceedings, and honestly, what I witnessed was deeply disturbing.

Citizens go to the police with evidence, complaints and even proof of violence — yet sometimes, the police won’t even register an NC.

But in this case, a complaint appears after 15 days, with a woman being made the complainant.

Who is the complainant? And what happened during those 15 days?

If Section 35(1) of the BNS can be invoked on the possibility of a future offence, then where was the same law when citizens — including women and a teenager — were detained for simply questioning tree cutting and documenting it?

This is not just about Santosh Pandit.

It is about a much bigger question:

Is the law really equal for everyone?

We stand with Santosh Pandit.

Because in a democracy, raising your voice cannot be a crime.

Justice must prevail.
The law must be equal for all.
