An absolute dream come true - I matched my #1 University of Pennsylvania for radiation oncology residency!!!
A special shoutout to @drjcanJJ for being my biggest supporter & the absolute best mentor.

Beyond excited to be staying at @PennMedicine for fellowship!🥳 This one is for my friend & mentor, who I miss dearly and was pivotal to getting me to this point @TaniguchiMD#teamhif2forever
What a huge honor to receive this award from @ARRO_org! I love teaching and I love our field. @AtTheBeam was created for ALL of us and I’m blown away by the outreach and acceptance. Thank you, all! Especially to @DoctorNoMD, my PIC and co-host.
Congratulations to Neha Vapiwala, MD, who was recently named as the president-elect of @ASTRO_org! James Metz, MD, Chair of the #RadOnc department (pictured, left) celebrates that she is the first Penn Medicine faculty member to lead ASTRO.
RadOnc MS-4 students, no need to stress once invitations for interviews start coming in. Just take a look at the AROPA interview calendar and you’re good to go

Let’s talk YO-CRC! Pts who are non-white, living in areas w/ high poverty (based on US census data), and those who are younger had longer times from symptom onset to diagnosis, and non-white patients have worse OS (compared to NHW). We have to do more for our marginalized groups

Medicine comes with sacrifices—missed holidays, less sleep—but it should **NOT** include the ability to safely, comfortably have and raise children.

Today, she shares her passion for narrative medicine (BIG Atul Gawande fan), dancing, and finding the best matcha in the city 🍵🫖
Sharing a project I started this year. I’m recording lectures on #radonc topics, organized by disease site. It’s helping me to prepare for boards & it’s a resource I wish I had when starting residency. @ACROresident@ARRO_org@RadoncROVER

Most patients don't realize their doctors and nurses think about them in the spaces between visits. While walking to the parking lot, driving home, brushing teeth… even before falling asleep. Our work is a part of us, and we really care about you. That's all.

Unfortunately, the Texas Medical Board has delayed approval for my trainee medical permit (PIT) because I took a year off school to get treatment for brain cancer. And now it looks like my residency start date will be delayed. Is there anything that can be done @texmed ?
