As someone who is a native of Western MH but born & brought up in Mumbai I can confidently say that Kolhapur & not Pune is the cultural capital of Western MH

I have always found Pune & Punekars to be rude, aggressive & obnoxious by nature

Proximity to Mumbai was responsible for the rapid growth of Pune in the last 30 yrs but that growth has come at a cost of its own sanity

Indiscipline, violence & aggressiveness is now a hallmark of being called a Punekar
