@BJP4India Didn’t just hit rock bottom, you set up camp there. All while the timing couldn’t be worse.
This was absolutely not the time for this. Let's stay united.
Vehicles older than 15 yrs not to be provided fuel.
Wow! New way to extort upto 50% GST + surcharge and road tax.
This is after paying 30% income tax + surcharge
And on top u pay 30-40% VAT on petrol
Vehicles more than 15 years old to be denied fuel in Delhi after March 31: Environment Minister Manjinder Sirsa.
The NGT has already banned such vehicles in Delhi, so Sirsa is just enforcing NGT's order. But I have just one question: What’s the point of PUC if vehicles are banned purely based on age?
Not everyone can afford a new car every 15 years. Many people maintain their cars well, and even after 15 years, their vehicles might pollute less than some younger poorly maintained ones. If a car meets emission norms, why ban it? Is there no reward for good compliance? Why should people pay for the govt's inability to enforce a strict PUC and fitness norms?
Such policies force people to buy new cars, benefiting automakers and boosting govt revenues. A win-win, except for the common people.
