The Meitei community in the North Eastern India still preserves its indigenous primitive traits and distinctive culture while isolated in the NE corner of India, it is there to be seen by all. Because of its isolation and difference in their look, their culture and fooding habits, they are always uncomfortable while coming out to other parts of the country, similar to any other community from the NE region.

Economic backwards is ever increasing,
the per capita income in Sikkim is Rs 3.17 lakh followed by Tripura with Rs 1.54 lakh, Mizoram Rs 1.41 lakh, Arunachal Pradesh Rs 1.27 lakh, Nagaland Rs 1.02 lakh, Meghalaya Rs 81,000, Assam Rs 74,000 and Manipur Rs 65,000.

So 𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐌𝐄𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐈 is a genuine demand for a fair Manipur and NE.

Leave your communal harangue, atleast for a while, and think of the approaching winter and those who have been dislocated from their homes.

I am just a normal human with thoughts and feelings, with all humane qualities, strength and weakness. I intend to buy some blankets, a miniscule effort. Will share with my fellow citizens who have suffered due to this madness. You may reject this because you may feel, rightly or wrongly, that I am this or that; that's your choice. Right from day one, with those images of people with sophisticated weapons and houses of Meiteis being burnt down in Torbung areas that appeared on social media in real time in the afternoon of 3rd May, much before the violence erupted in Imphal in the late evening, anybody would know that there was something about this violence, an aspect that was almost lost in the midst of propagandist disinformation.

The idea behind 'separate administration' that a group of citizens cannot "live together" with another set of fellow citizens of the (same) country is not only ridiculous but also a dangerous idea. For, it amounts to fracturing the 'fraternity' which is at the root of 'unity and integrity' of the country as envisaged in the Preamble of the Constitution.

As long as one remains, and wants to remain, as citizens of this country, we are all bound to live together and work together.
