Union Minister Nityanand Rai.
Was asked a question on general caste anger against UGC rules. Didn’t answer. Immediately started shouting Har Har Mahadev and left.
Reminds me of the UP power minister who, when asked a question about frequent power cuts, shouted Bajrang Bali ki jai and left.
Hiding behind Gods to escape accountability has become a political strategy for the BJP.
Hindutva has always been about uniting all the castes, ending inter-caste strife and in so doing putting the Hindu identity above caste primacy.
That’s why with the latest UGC rules, Dharmendra Pradhan has betrayed Hindutva, Savarkar, Hedgewar and everyone else who believed in, committed to & worked for Hindutva. Not that I expect much from an unremarkable product of nepotism, unschooled in & too mentally feeble to absorb core ideology - but there are limits to being malignant.
This rule isn’t about the social healing that Hindutva advocates for, or what Dr Ambedkar wanted - namely inclusion and expanding the size of the pie. This UGC guideline is about retributive, multi-generational vengeance over historical injustices; it’s about reinstating the capricious sections of the SC/ST act that the Supreme Court struck down; it’s about reversing the presumption of guilt; it’s about inverting the presumption of innocence; it’s about allowing false accusations to go scotfree.
Far from ameliorating and healing the UGC guidelines are a free pass to Mao style, red guards carrying out their “cultural revolution” and in fact are an extention of communist class warfare transposed to caste. This is antithetical to India, to Hinduism and to Hindutva. It is a grave betrayal of Hindutva.
All it does is throw a huge bunch of Hindus into the clutches of fringe casteists: be it upper caste, segregationist, neo-karpatrites masquerading as proponents of hindutva, or the neo-communist - casteist lynch mobs masquerading as neo-ambedkarites.
Casteists within the hindutva fold are and have always been and insignificant & irrelevant minority - excoriated by Savarkar and shunned by every BJP leader and RSS sarsanghchalak (remember how Advani refused to have lunch with Karpatri maharaj)
I’d urge the BJP to listen. Showing up all opposition to the bill as neo-karpatrites you’re walking into a nihilistic-leftist trap - except they didn’t create it - you created and handed the trap to them on a golden platter.
When you made mistakes in the 2024 general election, you rapidly changed course & the results are now evident. Please read the tea leaves. This UGC thing isn’t doing you any favours and painting opposition to it in one brush stroke is actively harming you. This year important elections are coming up in Assam, Bengal, TN & Kerala. The last thing you want is fratricide.
Let me sum this up in the simplest possible terms for @dpradhanbjp’s acutely limited intellect and non existent comprehension
If you believe in caste and segregation and denying representation to our SC/ST coreligionists you cannot be a Hindutvawadi
AND
If you believe in retributive justice and inter-caste wars, you cannot be a Hindutvawadi.
These are complementary - not mutually exclusive.
Thank You 🙏🏾
Making the General Category students suffer for the sins they did not commit is not correcting injustice but rather perpetuating it. Injustice in the campus today will be a threat to justice in the country tomorrow.
My views on the unjust UGC Equity Regulations:
Emirati Businessman Mohamed Al Abbar drops a bomb of truth about London …echoing what Elon Musk said few days ago.
“It's a shame London is unsecured, & they snatch your phone & your watch in the street… and it all about the leadership”
“Shame on you ! You don’t have money to give it to your Police - I think they’re collecting £2 per night from hotels to fund the budget- and you want to go to war for other countries ??”
“Shame on you!”

On May 19th, one of the most controversial figures of Modern India, Nathuram Godse, was born.
Some rally that he was right. Others say he was fatally wrong.
But this is his final statement—unedited, unapologetic. A window into his mind and why he did what he did.
It is upto you to decide!
Thread:
Superbly articulated by Priyanka Joshi.
"The world doesn’t know what to do with India.
We don’t fit their neat little boxes. We’re not white.
We’re not monotheistic.
We’re not ex-colonizers or submissive ex-colonized.
We are something they can’t decode.
We are too many things at once—ancient and modern, spiritual and scientific, emotional and logical.
We believe in gods and particles, karma and quantum.
We’re chaos that somehow moves forward.
That bothers them.
Because we aren’t supposed to succeed.
We don’t speak with one voice. We speak in thousands.
Our system isn’t clean. It’s noisy. It debates. It screams. But it works—because we’ve lived through worse and survived.
When we rise, they frown.
When we achieve, they doubt.
Because they still see us the way they chose to see us long ago—untrained, uncouth, and scattered.
But we’ve always known how to turn our mess into movement.
They don’t get that a billion people don’t need a single script.
They fear our success because it didn’t come from their textbooks, their aid, or their approval.
We remember being ruled, but we were never truly conquered.
We adapted, absorbed, transformed—but never disappeared.
And that is unsettling for those who thought we would.
India rising doesn’t fit their world order.
Because we didn’t wait for permission.
We didn’t rise from imitation—we rose from memory, from contradiction, from sheer force of will.
And that’s why they don’t celebrate our rise.
They resist it.
Because it wasn’t supposed to happen.”
As long as Pakistan uses its territory for terrorism against India, there can be no permanent peace. #Ceasefire or no ceasefire we must pursue the terrorists responsible for #Pahalgam attack.
I have always stood by the government & the armed forces against external aggression. This will continue.
I thank the armed forces for their bravery & their commendable skill. I pay homage to Army jawan, M Murali Naik, ADDC Raj Kumar Thapa & pray for all the civilians who were killed or injured during the conflict.
I hope this ceasefire gives respite to the people living in border areas.
I also hope that Indians and Indian political parties learn from the past two weeks: India is strong when it is united; our enemies benefit when Indians fight Indians.
I have some questions, and I hope the government will clarify:
1. I wish our PM @narendramodi had announced the ceasefire rather than the President of a foreign country. We have always been opposed to third party intervention since Simla (1972). Why have we now accepted it? I hope the Kashmir issue will not be internationalised, as it is our internal matter.
2. Why are we agreeing to talk on a neutral territory? What will be the agenda of these talks? Does the United States guarantee that Pakistan will not use its territory for terrorism?
3. Have we achieved our aim of deterring Pakistan from carrying out future terror attacks? Was our goal to get a Trump-brokered ceasefire or was it to bring Pakistan to such a position that it would not even dream of another terror attack?
4. We must continue the international campaign to put Pakistan in the FATF grey list.
