Trading on Ghana’s newly established Stock Exchange came with its own set of challenges. So I gave it what the farm and the classroom had taught me: preparation, patience, and full attention to detail.

At the end of the program, I was adjudged the best trainee. That was when this photo was taken with my colleague from the National Trust Holding Company.

I mention this, not for applause, but for what it confirmed to me, that excellence is not a talent. It is a habit, applied daily, until it becomes indistinguishable from character.
