Buhari tried to save Elrufai, but Elrufai was so busy with his own philosophy that he didn't understand his political leader.
When Buhari and Emefiele mischievously introduced the Naira redesign policy, they did it with the understanding that Tinubu already had enough old currency to sponsor himself in the election.
So, they wanted to cripple the financial freedom Tinubu had.
Guess who mobilized other Governors to question that policy?
It was Elrufai, through the landmark case of Attorney General of Kaduna State & 15 Ors v. Attorney General of the Federation (2023) LPELR-60143.
When the former APC Chairman, Adamu Abdullahi, and Buhari wanted to play a fast one by using Ahmed Lawan as the APC consensus candidate, it was still this same Elrufai who mobilized other northern Governors to block that move.
Even at Chatham House, when Tinubu was being asked critical questions, the same Elrufai stepped in and came to his rescue.
Looking back today, it is difficult not to see the irony.
Buhari is no more, and Elrufai is now dancing to the same music whose stage he helped to set.
Perhaps if Buhari were still alive, he might have intervened.
But fate has decided otherwise. Now, Elrufai is left to keep dancing to the tune of the very music he helped compose.
He japad to the UK, and he still lives in the UK
He says that many living in Nigeria are better than many who left Nigeria for the UK five years ago
Notice that he has not returned to Nigeria or sent his kids back there. He has remained in the UK after paying almost all of his income to bills.
This is like a millionaire telling a poor man, “Money is the root of evil”
This should be the minimum, not the exception in States in Nigeria.
If you love @alexottiofr, or your State Governor, please register your VAT and PAYE in State and make your remittance to State internal revenue service.
Additionally, if you have funds, allocate 1% and deposit for 365 days it in a microfinance bank in your LGA.
Attract and generate commerce in your state; that's the secret.
“Our people are being k!dnapp£d everyday, heads are being ch0pp£d off on national television, Nigerians are suffer!ng, we want to invite Tinubu to come and explain to us why we’re spending trillions of Naira doing coastal roads and yet Nigerians are dy!ng everyday”
Serious drama Session in House of Representatives as Lawmakers Clash Over Motion to Summon President Tinubu
Another Harmless gist. 😅
You know the US just marked her 250th independence anniversary and the celebrations started yesterday.
And in the light of this event, one guy asked if Nigeria can survive as a country till 250 years.
One APC chieftain assumed this question to be an attack against the ruling party; and immediately asked grok to make a comparison between the US of 1841 and Nigeria of 2025.
According to the APC chieftain, the US was 65 years at 1841 and Nigeria is 65 years in 2025. So, he wanted to compare 65-years old America against 65 years old Nigeria.
After the comparison across education, infrastructure, governance and economy; grok revealed that America of 1841 was far better than Nigeria of 2025.
That's to say, 19th century America was better than the 21st century Nigeria.
A billionaire businessman, oil magnate, and philanthropist from Delta State, Chief Dr. Daniel Omoyibo (Danmotech), went out casually to have his hair barbered at a saloon with two barbers.
When he explained the haircut to the first barber, he was charged 5k and he priced it at 2k which he believed to be the appropriate price. The first barber insisted on the price he gave and the man was about to leave when the other barber called him back saying 'It was still morning'. He agreed to the price.
While the man had his haircut, they interacted, and he got to know that he is from Kogi and working for the shop owner. When asked how much will set up his own barbing saloon, he mentioned 2-3million naira.
Danmotech sent him 5million naira immediately and asked him to set himself up. He also exchanged numbers with him for further assistance. The man was really emotional and couldn't believe it.
Blessings come in different ways!
My coursemates and I contributed ₦1.2 million for one of our classmates who has been jobless for the past 6 years.
We raised the money to help him learn a skill or start a small business so he could get back on his feet.
Just last week, he sent his wedding invitation in the group.
The whole group went silent.
When we asked him why, he said since he now had “a little money,” he decided it was the right time to marry his girlfriend of 4 years.
We said nothing.
He sent another message:
“Guys please, I can’t do this alone. My wedding budget is ₦3.2 million. I need your support.”
They removed him from the group immediately🙄
