True! I also want to mention that the fact that you think your child isn't eating enough is not a good reason to offer them junk food as a substitute in the name of 'it is better than nothing'.
That is usually the beginning of child obesity and unhealthy relationship with food.
I just remembered how excited I was to stop using pencils and start writing with a pen in Primary 3. Funny how the smallest things felt like major milestones back then.
If only I knew 😭
If you were 'thick' as a teenager, it means you were eating too many calories for your activity level at that time.
For a balanced weight, figure out your daily food consumption and your daily energy expenditure and make sure they match.
When it comes to weight gain, the number of times you eat or the volume of food is not what matters.
What matters is the amount of calories in every food you eat Vs how much calories your body needs at that time in your life.
If there is a mismatch, your weight changes.
Simple.
People don't only get fat because they "load food" everyone has a different metabolism.
I eat mostly once or twice a day and i have been thick since i was a teen.
I don't even have a sweet tooth but someone else might eat thrice without a single add on.
Be a little kind.
Dear pregnant mum,
It is very good to exercise during pregnancy, but no go dey do pass your self.
1. Whatever workout you weren't doing before you got pregnant, DO NOT start in pregnancy.
2. You dont need to hit the gym or lift weights. A gentle walk, a simple home cardio or a dance session all counts for good exercise in pregnancy.
3. If you do not feel up to it, don't do it. You are raising a whole human in your body and that counts for a lot!
4. If your nose becomes big or your feet are swollen or you aren't looking as pretty as Temi looks, it is alright too. Just make sure you are sane and your mental health is in good shape.
5. Eat healthy, move your body, have fun when you feel up to it. And if the craving hits, eat it but don't overdo it.
6. If you have been advised to be on bed rest, or to have only a little bit of physical activity, stick to it. Your safety and the baby's safety is all that matters. You will get you tea body when baby comes out
For men who want a pretty preggo who is always picture ready, have money and spend the money on pampering her. If you want a Monaco view, you will have to spend Monaco money.
