*A little something about ID and control of the population*

In South Africa every citizen and permanent resident has a 13 digit ID number.

This number holds information about the person it is allocated to.

Let’s take a white female with South African citizenship born in January 1975.

The first six numbers are your date of birth.

So the first six numbers are 750101

Then the next four numbers are divided into two sections those below 5000 and those above.

If the next four digits are below you are female and if they are above you are male. They will also show where you are in the queue for birth registration on the day. My late mother’s middle four numbers 0060, so she was registered as the 60th female born on her birth date.

The last three numbers determine two things. Race and citizenship.

The first two numbers are allocated to race and citizenship. In the case of a white woman this number (last time I checked) was 08 and the last number is supposedly a check digit.

While they say race is excluded in the algorithm this is not true because current laws against quotas of white men are able to be enforced using this simple piece of data.

If everything in your life is controlled by a simple series of numbers here’s the risk.

Say a tyrannical government comes into power and decides that anyone over the age of 70 or 75 is a drain on resources.

Simply by writing a small line of code that ENTIRE section of the population can be denied access to healthcare, bank accounts, lines of credit , etc.

A similar line of code identifies all males between 18 and 55 and forces conscription or risk of arrest if you can’t provide an exemption certificate.

“Papers please?”

If a child’s ID number is not on a vaccine list, you could be excluded from registering them in school.

ID gives control of your life to faceless civil servants and corporations that know nothing of your personal circumstances and everyone will at some stage run into the situation, where “ the computer says no”.

You’ll be dehumanised.

You could find yourself being unable to use the system because you’re the wrong colour, religion, political opinion, socioeconomic group - add to this list anything - it’ll be coded in your ID.

Why do you think South Africa was such a successful Apartheid State?

Your ID number in South Africa DICTATED WHERE YOU WERE ALLOWED TO LIVE, WORK AND STAY OVERNIGHT.
