@GregBerge Children immediately want to know what they can do better as soon as they enter the car, especially older children. The best thing to do is ask them what they think. The parents job is get the child to think, evaluate, adjust, and work hard.

GK are taught to raise the knee. They are also taught (my son is currently GK) that if they get the ball first its theirs and any collision after is on the attacker. If refs are not going to let the GK go after a ball in the box, get there first, and protect themselves, then that ref is asinine.

Boys need to be pushed not held back. Holding them back actually hurts them.

My son skipped 8th grade, proved to himself that he was smarter than most HS kids, still started for the soccer and lacrosse teams, and did well socially. He is much more confident than the kid who feels dumb because he is 16 in the 9th grade.
