Residents of the Theta Ward in Kiambu County, Kenya, have initiated a fundraising drive to collect Ksh 30 million to repair a neglected 6-kilometer road connecting villages like Matangiini and Kwa Muurage to the Thika superhighway.
The community decided to take matters into their own hands after repeated appeals to local government leaders regarding the impassable road were ignored. The dilapidated state of the road has significantly hampered daily travel and economic activities for the residents.
This is not the first time community efforts have been made to address the road's condition, with previous self-help initiatives also reported. The residents aim to tarmac at least one kilometer of the road with the initial funds raised.
Meanwhile, the Kiambu County government had previously announced plans for the rehabilitation of the Kimbo-Matangini road, which falls within Theta Ward, among other projects in the region. However, residents note the actual work has been limited and the road remains in a poor state.

The Injection Continues 💉💉
We are at a pivotal moment in our nation's history, and the call to serve has never been more urgent. After careful consideration and consultations with trusted advisors, community leaders, and citizens from all walks of life, I am pleased to announce the formation of a Presidential Exploratory Committee.
This committee will thoroughly assess the viability of my candidacy for the 2027 presidential election. Its primary focus will be to engage with the public, gather input on the most pressing challenges facing our nation, and determine how best to address these issues with bold and innovative leadership.
The road ahead requires thoughtful preparation, and this exploratory phase is a crucial step in ensuring that our vision for the future aligns with the hopes and aspirations of Kenyans. I am committed to listening, learning, and building a platform that reflects the values and priorities of our citizens.
Together, we can shape a brighter future. Thank you for your support as we embark on this journey.

KENYANS PLS RETWEET THE ONLINE LETTER To Donald J Trump,
Dear President-Elect :
KENYA'S RELATIONSHIP WITH USA.
The People of Kenya congratulate you on being elected with a clear marjority as President-Elect. At the earliest opportunity it is very important to inform you Sir, of the issues affecting our country and our people at this time in our joint history.
US President Joe Biden before your reelection abandoned the people of Kenya in their plight, particularly during the peaceful demonstrations or, more accurately, the civilian uprising amidst cries for better governance, stemming of corruption, and better policies on affordable taxation. These spontaneous protests were geniune and exercised by the youth or Gen Z's within the country.
America's silence over the brutal Kenyan government crackdown on its own people was very loud following the meeting of President William Ruto and the Biden Administration during a White House State Visit earlier this year.
I am writing to you because further to those discussions President Biden elevated the Defence Designation of Kenya, to become a major Non-NATO U.S Ally [MNNA] which itself requires us to conduct ourselves with poise and decorum on the one hand and as a vibrant multiparty democracy on the other.
Unfortunately I must flag some issues of concern that I believe will have a major impact on the future political stability of Kenya as a free and vibrant multiparty democracy.
President William Ruto

Kenya's attempt to join the UN Security Council has been opposed by human rights defenders.
This is due to alleged serious human rights abuses and constitutional violations.
On matters #FormIEBC ,
Let me clarify something,
The reconstitution of the IEBC was progressing after the National Assembly and Senate agreed on the IEBC Amendment Bill in mid-2024.
However, political disagreements and court challenges have slowed the process. For instance, a tribunal temporarily halted Parliament from forwarding nominees to President Ruto after the Azimio la Umoja coalition contested the initial list of nominees, calling for substitutions.
This legal challenge is one of the key reasons for the stalled reconstitution.
In this regard, I started this campaign on X because, then, you can pressure leaders like Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka (and others in Azimio) to expedite the resolution of these disputes to allow formation of IEBC.
They are ACTIVE on X and they are seeing your sentiments.
The matter is now solely on their hands after leaving the parliament and the Senate.
If these opposition leaders do not show interest in resolving the disputes hindering the process, let them not lie to you that they are on your side.
Keep tweeting and retweeting #FormIEBC
