Healthcare should be measured by services actually available to the public, not publicity.

As much as we appreciate what Maina Kageni and Mwalimu King’ang’i have contributed to radio over the years, don’t you think there comes a time to step aside and give the younger generation an opportunity? Twenty-two years on the same show is an incredible run, but fresh talent also needs space to grow, bring new ideas, and shape the next generation of radio.

The problem is not building the data centre; Kenya has the talent, connectivity and demand. The real bottleneck is reliable, affordable and sufficient power. AI data centres consume enormous amounts of electricity, and without major investment in generation, transmission and grid reliability, the data centre itself is the easy part.

@HonKangata I tend to trust proper tarmacking over cabro paving. We’ve seen governments cover large areas with cabros, only for them to deteriorate, sink, or require replacement after a relatively short period—then another administration comes and does essentially the same work again.

We should move away from populist projects designed to create an immediate visual impression and invest in infrastructure that gives lasting value. A properly engineered and constructed tarmac road may cost more initially, but it provides a more durable, long-term solution and reduces the cycle of every successive government spending public money redoing the same roads.
