@WordsWFriends@peacock Just to let you know that after playing words with friends for more than ten years I’m leaving because of the infernal advertising. You lose.
Just finished ‘Gilded Rage’ by Jacob Silverman. Don’t think @elonmusk will like being called out for having been an illegal migrant to US in 1995 though.
Great to be able to view Ireland’s oldest history book, The Annals of Inisfallen, in @UCC today. Looking forward to when the annals are on permanent display back at home in Killarney. @bottykillarney@SeanKellyMEP

In an exclusive interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei reacts to an employee who quit over concerns that AI could wipe out humanity and discusses his proposal to slow down development of the technology.
Venäjän mahdollisesta Nato-testistä ei pidä luoda paniikkia eikä väittää tietävämme, että sellainen olisi tulossa. Mutta mahdollisuuteen on viisasta varautua. Paras tapa ehkäistä provokaatio on tehdä jo ennalta selväksi, ettei se aiheuta epävarmuutta vaan nopean vastauksen.

Since ending its EU defense opt-out, Denmark has moved closer to France, building a growing partnership around joint procurement, Arctic security, and defense cooperation, Daniel Thomass writes

À tous nos militaires, à tous ceux qui s’engagent pour nous protéger, nous soigner, prendre soin des uns et des autres, au nom de tous les Français : merci infiniment.
Vive la République, vive la France !
Finland stands strong.
As we ramp up our collective capabilities, your country is leading the way, dear @alexstubb.
From military strength to tech savviness.
And preparedness across the board.
From the Baltic to the Arctic, Finland makes Europe stronger.
We signed a Drone Deal agreement with Denmark. This is already Ukraine’s ninth such agreement, and it is important that more and more partners are joining this format, which opens up greater opportunities for joint defense production, the exchange of expertise, and transparency in weapons exports. Together, we are building a new security architecture. I thank Denmark, and personally Mette, for this step toward strengthening our shared defense. It was with Denmark that we began joint production in Ukraine under the Danish model, and it is absolutely fair that Denmark will now have access to Ukrainian exports of weapons tested in war.
Today, we also discussed with the Prime Minister @Statsmin the strengthening of our air defense and work on European anti-ballistic defense. It is extremely important for us right now to receive Patriot missiles as quickly as possible and to jointly develop our own European capabilities to counter ballistic threats.
I thank Denmark for its continued support for our people – for its defense and financial assistance, and for all its contributions to the PURL initiative.
Dear Volodymyr @ZelenskyyUa, it is good to see you in Ankara.
Here, we are discussing the future of defence.
And Ukraine has a great deal to contribute.
This month, we have provided the first €4 billion of our drone package to further strengthen Ukraine's drone capabilities.
More support is on the way, including for air defence and missile interception.
The tide is turning.
Irish leadership brings people together.
You help find common ground.
And get things done.
When Europe has faced moments of change, Ireland has so often helped chart the course.
Including through your successful EU Presidencies.
