All this personally helps me. Since Meta is my biggest portfolio position.

But, I would tell you the truth here:-

Charges on UPI allows Meta to monetize Whatsapp Payments as well, at some point. As a stock holder, I am cool. It benefits me.

But, honestly: this is not good for India. I don't want my fellow citizens to keep paying unnecessary charges, when most people are just struggling to survive.

A small bump on transaction cost might not feel much. But, most small businesses survive on thin margins to begin with.

For many, this would be an existential crises.

The world is already harsh for most people.
We need to be a bit compassionate.

Hi. 😊 Swedish dude here again.

When we have kids. we get 480 paid parental leave days.

Per child.

390 days at ~80% of pay.
90 days at a low flat rate.

Separate from my 25 paid vacation days.
Separate from the 120 days of potential sick-child days.

90 days per parent are locked to that parent and cannot be transferred.

Single parent: the full 480 days.
Usable until the child is 12.
By law.

Both of us can even stay home at the same time for 60 of those days in the first year. Together.
