“we will pay any price….to assure the success and survival of liberty.” Is this still true? Do we prize liberty or do we prize power and purse? No more clear test than the choice between Ukraine and Russia. Abandon Ukraine and we abandon liberty. Eventually even our own.
@smerconish I'm sure there will be cabinet changes. Trump will need to find some people to blame for what happens during the midterm election, and many on his cabinet will be loaded down with his sins and driven into the wilderness.
@ScottJenningsKY Something I never thought would happen. I agree with Scott Jennings. Take an umbrella outside even if it's sunny, today pigs are flying...
@megbasham I think she's talking about the visual of executing a person in a wheel chair, the propaganda value. It's not a good look to most of the world. We can argue about the death penalty, but public executions are a reflection of our character. It screams "full of blood lust."
@RepDonBacon Morally wrong, and totally unnecessary. The US currently exports much more diesel than we will import in this deal. We don't need it, and all this does is give Russia a path to get around sanctions.
@MAGA_Blondie I'm sure your posting this to trigger those of us outside of the MAGA tent. Congratulations! You hit your mark! This is the single most disgusting thing I've seen regarding this topic today. Lord, have mercy...
@its_my_brain@philvischer Didn't your mother teach you that two wrongs don't make a right? Especially if we claim to be doing them in the name of Christ!
@megbasham This logic has lead many countries to do things that we have condemned for years (public caning, cutting of the hands of thieves, etc). Would you like to see similar things here? Also, by doing this, we are handing a powerful propaganda tool to our enemies.
@smerconish No, because it will not lower prices. Diesel is a global market, whether it's sold here or somewhere else doesn't matter. US producers are currently exporting diesel at near record levels. All this does is create a reduced demand for US diesel, allowing them to export more.
