I would greatly thank YOU if you would keep your “privates private” and not flash your erection around or your Ferrari around in sort of a “humble brag”…lol

I could never imagine doing any kind of serious workout without fuel to provide energy for that workout! It makes no sense whatsoever! And I don’t even need a PhD to know that!

There’s a big debate about whether everyone should train fasted, and especially whether the answer is different for men and women.
My view is pretty simple: start with how you feel. If you feel terrible exercising fasted, that matters. Listening to your body is important. There are absolutely times when I need to eat before a workout.
The other big variable is the type and duration of the workout. A 30-minute run or lift is very different from a 2-hour run or lift. If you’re doing a long session, you might need fuel.
From my recent appearance on DOAC with @StevenBartlett.
I can’t believe people still write articles about how “chili peppers” and the like will greatly boost your metabolism. Yes, protein will burn more calories because your body takes more effort to break it down, but your metabolism increases mainly by having more muscle. It isn’t because you are eating spicy food and other dopey “magic answers” people with the motivation of a sloth desperately want to hear!!!

Yes, those are good points. People can get into real problems when they are doing very large amounts of high-intensity exercise and eating very little, because eventually you get into problems because you then have to do EVEN MORE exercise and eat EVEN LESS to continue to get results where this approach quickly becomes unsustainable.
