Trump is pursuing this war in the HOPE that Iran carries out an act of terror in the US. And even if it doesn’t, which I doubt it will, consider the possibility that Trump's people would fake one. Please consider this essay, written back in March, as well as the last few lessons of "On Tyranny."

Walter Cronkite: After liberating execution camps… Germans (who cried) they didn’t know…were as as guilty as Nazis…because they applauded when Hitler shut down (media) and said, ‘We don’t need to know. We trust our government...’
It’s our duty to know.
The intelligence community – in the very documents Trump himself declassified – assessed that one of the most damaging things a foreign adversary could do would be to falsely convince the American people that their elections had been rigged.
The person who has attempted to do exactly that — over and over, for nearly six years, and most dramatically on Thursday night — is Donald Trump, who, contrary to the very evidence he himself presented, tried to tell millions of Americans that foreign powers had corrupted an election. Specifically, the one election he lost.
Christopher Nolan admits he almost never made The Odyssey until reading one heartbreaking scene about a dog from the original 3,000-year-old ancient Greek text completely broke him.
"I spent a lot of time before I would write just familiarizing myself with the Odyssey... trying to remind myself what I remembered it to be."
"You get to the bit with Argus... his loyal hunting dog."
"As a new dog owner... I did not grow up with dogs."
"Finally got a dog... and yeah, changes your life."
"I got to the bit with Argus... and it just killed me."
"I think it was honestly a major reason that I knew I had to make the film."
This dandy from the WSJ Editorial Board:
"Since Mr. Trump declassified the memo, we can quote the part he didn’t. “Vote tabulation systems would be difficult to manipulate on a wide enough scale to compromise election results,” it says. “The systems in each voting location are not connected to the Internet or to each other, and many methods for exploiting them rely on physical proximity.” Achieving it across many jurisdictions “would be difficult” and “audits and paper trails very likely would uncover such an effort."
...
"Unfortunately, the message from Mr. Trump and others has been that America’s elections can’t be trusted, and the only hope is the SAVE America Act. Aside from being untrue, this is a political backfire for the GOP. If Republican voters believe it, and the bill falls short, then why waste time going to the polls in November? Has the GOP already forgotten how Mr. Trump’s fraud outbursts cost them two Senate seats in the 2021 Georgia runoffs?"

🚨BREAKING: Trump’s voter fraud speech is BACKFIRING as Americans flood social media with the recording of Trump demanding Georgia “find 11,780 votes” after he lost the 2020 election.
Trump is the last person on Earth who should be talking about election fraud.
Former Pardon Attorney: 2 days after Mr. Blanche was confirmed as Deputy Attorney General, he fired me from my position as a pardon attorney. I declined to rubber stamp a political favor for Trump's friend and it cost me my job. Blanche sent US Marshals to my home in an effort to prevent me from speaking with members of Congress.
RFK Jr's latest CDC hack crashes and burns
During her confirmation hearing Wednesday, Dr. Erica Schwartz, Trump's *third* CDC director nominee already during his second term, left Democratic senators aghast with her evasive and nonsensical responses to questions about RFK Jr, vaccines, and whether she would follow dangerous and illegal orders
This exchange with Sen. Hassan tells the story:
HASSAN: If RFK Jr ordered you to stop promoting the flu vaccine during a deadly flu season, would you?
SCHWARTZ: We have to prioritize what we can focus on--
HASSAN: This isn't a hypothetical. RFK Jr in the middle of a deadly flu outbreak directed the CDC to stop all promotion of the flu vaccine. So would you stop promoting it if ordered to?
SCHWARTZ: I don't speak in hypotheticals--
HASSAN: This isn't a hypothetical! It happened
Here's a supercut from Schwartz's ill-fated exchanges with Hassan and Bernie Sanders:
🚨BREAKING: This is the unearthed video Senator Adam Schiff repeatedly demanded Todd Blanche to answer for during today’s hearing.
Blanche literally ADMITS he fired DOJ attorneys who prosecuted Trump, his own client - a staggering and obvious breach of ethics.
Months ago, I published an op-ed laying out Trump’s intentions to interfere in our elections.
This week, I think he’s preparing to take his biggest step yet.
I fear his speech on Thursday is meant to mislead Americans and lay the groundwork for election interference. Don't take the claims at face value – follow the facts.
January 6th is when Lindsey went on the floor and said he was done with Trump. Then Kevin McCarthy, then Mitch McConnell (all in this clip).
They could have walked away and followed through with the impeachment.
Don't ever forget that it's been the Republicans in Congress who have enabled this for the last 10 years.
NYT top newsroom lawyer David McCraw: “This brazen act should be seen as nothing more than an attempt to prevent the public from knowing what is happening in their country by intimidating journalists from doing their jobs.” https://t.co/mmQ2mvSR7V
Trump administration rolls back habitat protections for endangered species
Under the new rule, habitat destruction alone no longer counts as "harm," potentially clearing the way for more logging, mining and oil drilling unless endangered animals are directly injured or killed
“The appearance of federal law enforcement agents on the doorstep of news reporters should shock the conscience of any American who believes in the Constitution and the press freedom it protects.”
- David McCraw, NYT top newsroom lawyer, in a statement on Friday evening.
