@snuffbaitmutt@SFTheeboG@catkaldir True and fair, but T isnt magic for us and I kinda hate the sentiment that it’s all powerful because it erases our struggles. Hell, I wonder if that’s part of why we aren’t as researched medically, because most people assume we only need T.
@snuffbaitmutt@catkaldir Meta does not add length, it also involves cutting the clitoral ligament and wrapping the underside of the dick with labial tissue. Cïs men famously do not have these issues
@snuffbaitmutt@catkaldir I am well aware, but there are way less cïs men needing that now, as their dicks aren’t getting mutilated nearly as often as in wartime. So. It is mainly known as a trans masculine surgery.
To the point where the graft scars often out trans men
@snuffbaitmutt@catkaldir if only T did more for bottom surgery, most cisgender men aren’t going to need phallo & metoidioplasty isnt a thing they go through
@tixkerou@GamerboygaleTv@thintechgodhead I’m not really sure how to respond to you. I’m not happy to be seen as dangerous. I also can’t oppress women — hell, cïs women are stripping my rights away. Not that I’d expect a TERF to understand. You sound one step away from asking why I don’t just live as a masc woman.
I wonder when we'll figure out that intersectionality isn't just tacking on more identifiers to pin down a higher oppression score and is actually like understanding the lived experiences of people with those identity combinations that are unique to the "normative" experience.
@tixkerou@GamerboygaleTv@thintechgodhead For me, female puberty was distressing. I couldn’t recognize myself. Periods were horrible to have, because they were agonizing. I’m happier male. I love the hairiness, my dick, my voice. I transitioned while non-binary, and then realized a year in that I love being a dude.
@tixkerou@thintechgodhead All nonsense aside, have you not heard about the lesbian to trans man pipeline? For many trans men, we never centered men. Hell, the desire to not be something dangerous/oppressive has kept a lot of trans men from understanding that we are men. We have to unpack that from day 1.
this thread perfectly illustrates all the impossible landmines and catch 22’s trans men/transmascs are met with when discussing literally anything at all
@CannoliDaCoyote @inkblotPrincess cïs women are the ones posting about AFAB only housing, not non-binary people or trans men. I promise you they think our brains and bodies are poisoned by T
@squarian24@Merzwoke Being fat is neither masculine nor feminine. Being hairy* isn’t sloppy. It’s considered masculine by most of society, hell, women are pressured to shave their bodies bald to not be seen as masculine…
