In WW1 children were drafted in to forage for items to help the war effort- nettles for uniform dye, deadly nightshade for eye medicine, fox gloves for heart medicine and lots more. @BarfordSchool year 6 conducted a safer version to serve King and Country! @rootstofruit202 ☠️

@BarfordSchool today year 6 investigated why the school was bombed in 1940 and what the actual target was supposed to be. There was heavy bombing in the area throughout the war years. We looked at why rationing was needed and why wartime bread was so awful! @rootstofruit202
