@AdamBienkov The costs of a retailer employing someone p/t on min for 16hrs will increase by about £1200. The cost of a f/t employee on min will go up by about 1800. So sack 2 part-timers & replace with a full-timer. Women, young people & minorities are over-represented in the p/t workforce.

@AdamBienkov I haven't heard anyone pointing out the discriminatory effect of the NI changes on p/t workers. The cut in the start point to 5k means that the cost of part-timers has rocketed. Now makes more sense to have 1 f/t than 2 p/t. P/t is weighted towards women.young, minorities.

@TheKentAcorn I remember an episode of Michael Wood's TV series (1970s?) when he took a Saxon charter from 1000 years ago that described a land-holding - "from the bend in the stream to the white rock, thence along the ditch etc" - and he traced it. The landmarks were still there.
