#OnThisDay 40 years ago Network Southeast was born. This great example of branding and bold corporate identity still has echoes around London and the South East if you know where to look 👀🔴🔵⚪️
All of the videos out of Belfast, Glasgow and Liverpool this evening are extremely distressing.
Something has substantively changed in this country since the Southport attacks and riots that followed.
I don’t feel as safe in this country as I once took completely for granted.
If your response to an innocent man being brutally assaulted is to burn other innocent people out of their homes, you're a fucking monster. It really is that simple.

Lord's in April 1967 after the old Tavern had been demolished and ahead of the construction of its replacement. Behind the ground the block of flats was well underway
1966 was also significant for Qatar, too
'The seeds of a Qatar-hosted World Cup may have been planted in England in the summer of 1966. The future emir, al-Thani, and his friend Abdullah bin Hamed al-Attiyah, were teenagers attending summer school in the UK.'

@robertshrimsley Of its own accord, a fair point. But presumably because they can’t be trusted to act with propriety with fewer curfews (Noosa Island; New Zealand nightclub; Bristol nightclub, Freddie’s pedalo years ago…there seems to be a pattern 🤷🏽♂️)
