As of today, I'm officially an assistant professor at @Princeton with a joint position in @PrincetonAnthro and @PrincetonSPIA. After some tumultuous and frustrating years on the job market, I feel incredibly lucky to have landed here.
@SaraWahedi Facts!! I’m starting a master’s program and I’ve consistently had questions only from family about “how many degrees I need” and how I should just “come home” instead.
Also, the timing of this feels a bit awkward given that our industry is very nearly on a general strike.
So, we're taking what money we *would* have spent on a For Your Consideration campaign ($10k) and donating it to the Entertainment Community Fund: https://t.co/hTF2ukFGPm.
So, inspired by Hank, we are in fact submitting Game Changer for an Emmy.
If you're an academy member, or know any academy members, please consider giving us your vote and/or spreading the word about our silly little show! 🙏🗳️ #emmyforgamechanger
So honored to receive the Atwater Prize. Advised by @RDancygier, my thesis used original survey data to analyze how different POV narratives can change attitudes + behaviors towards refugees - inspired by the work of @ClaireAdida https://t.co/4iiNSatlq3, @dbroockman + @j_kalla
The Lyman H. Atwater Prize in Politics is awarded to the senior who has written the best thesis on a subject in political science.
This year's co-winners are Kennedy Elizabeth Mattes and Rooya Rahin.
question for friends who went directly from college into a graduate program: what do u wish u had done in the summer before you started your grad program. I’m trying to make a list of important things I might need to do so I can start getting to them
so much of this article reads like satire bc YES “you must vociferously oppose the censoring bigots governing Florida.” Queer lives ARE being threatened and laws like Florida’s deny queer people 1st amendment rights. it is the job of public figures to speak against oppression
OPINION | Contributing columnist Matthew Wilson argues that President Eisgruber’s ’83 Commencement remarks on the necessity of “free expression” presented a selective narrative marginalizing those who disagree with Eisgruber’s views.

This op-ed's conflation of a simple defense of true *freedom* to speak and educate on racism and sexism with indoctrination is a great example of exactly the kind of wrong-headed yet pervasive thinking that made Eisgruber's remarks warranted (& powerful).
