Interesting observation from an eng manager:
“As soon as I know some text is AI-generated: I lose all interest in reading it.
For performance reviews, I asked people to either not use AI or if they must: just write down the prompt so I don’t need to go thru the word salad.”
@tsortwehttam idk if you remember him, but Gaudio took this to an extreme, he always yelled in spanish so maybe his craziness wasn't that well known in the US
@hubermanlab I have noticed that I feel physical pain in my body when I just wake up and I'm in bed, but it goes away super quickly as I move around. I wonder if there's some kind of mechanism acting there

Next Monday we will have the @CMUDB talk that I am most excited about this semester! Robert Haas (@robertmhaas) from @EDBPostgres will discuss how @PostgreSQL's query optimizer works. Anyone who is interested about Postgres performance should join: https://t.co/gi0kuHh8LN
I've read a couple of things recently about testing pyramids, trophies, and honeycombs. Here are my thoughts, with a nod to @timbray and @searls

having some fun while working on a blog post. I want to:
1. double down on interactivity
2. release posts in a series of related topics
the first blast will probably be about distributed systems.
Better later than never, I just found out about "Vaccination Database Tech Talks", an on-line seminar series open to the public via Zoom, this is the full schedule https://t.co/LndAQPTyUY
thank you @andy_pavlo !
