Farage on #BBCBreakfast: “If Andy Burnham becomes PM we need a General Election, no mandate!”
Sally Nugent: “Do your MPs who defected from the Tories have a mandate?”
Watch the chancer’s face as his own logic gets rammed straight back down his throat. Pure gold.
This is the exact line every interviewer should use on him from now on.😂😂😂
RT if Sally Nugent deserves a medal 👇👇👇👇
@psherman43ww@MattKleinOnline They’re both perfectly good candidates, but I think it’s fair to describe them as more progressive-lite than progressive in the same way the AOC/Sanders/Mamdani wing is.
@btharris93 It’s rare that you get to say this about political opinions, but this is so incredibly obviously objectively wrong. I suspect that you are a lobotomy victim?
@A1an_M@RenaudFoucart Parties are not in any way required to put every single policy they will implement in their manifesto, and I think it’s absurd that you actually think that would even be possible.
If Keir Starmer does resign, history will look back on his reign and scratch its head as to why the hell he was so hated.
On paper, he's probably delivered more to working British people in such a short time than any PM for decades.
After inheriting an absolute mess: NHS waiting lists fallen. Worker's rights improved. Rail operators nationalised. Improved relations with EU and improved UK's global reputation. Removed non-dom tax status. Halved childcare costs. Boosted state pensions. Lowest homicide rate in 50 years. Lifted 550k children out of poverty. Immigration vastly reduced.
We are in the age of billionaire funded misinformation, whose sole purpose is to topple democratically elected leaders, and insert leadership that favours the wealthy elites over the working people. Looks like the game plan is working...
@LaithwaiteLola@PolitlcsUK@REFORM Funniest part of this tweet is that literally every one of your conclusions is completely wrong, and you should actually be concluding the exact opposite.
@fatbob79811@PolitlcsUK I admittedly don’t know the area, but it feels highly unlikely to me that vegetables are used a loss leader. I don’t think veg a few pennies cheaper than their competitors is what gets people through the supermarket doors.
@Eccothe2k@Mina_ffs The decrease in Labour’s vote share between 2024 and 2026 is pretty much exclusively a reaction to the current Labour government, which Andy Burnham is both not a part of and is actively standing against.
@igfield73@Jamesara@tnewtondunn I don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s entirely irrelevant to my point.
Please explain why my original statement was wrong.
@igfield73@Jamesara@tnewtondunn There is just as much evidence from that referendum that the British public wanted more extreme PR rather than the watered down AV+ offered, as there is evidence that they don’t want PR at all.
This is why referendums are completely useless and absurd, and should be avoided.
@DJtheDentist@langofmind You wouldn’t bear any moral responsibility just because a fraction of the population decide, completely of their own will, to hold themselves hostage and demand you save them.
@neeratanden@TheOmniLiberal How can anyone take you seriously, even if your overall point could have truth to it, if you “evidence” it with obviously false or misleading statements. I’m also sure you’re completely aware of how misleading they are, but that doesn’t stop you using them,
@NicholasTyrone How anyone can look at American politics and the obvious success of the Mamdanis, the Platners and the Talaricos, and conclude the Democratic Party needs to move further right, is beyond me. Zero political instincts, and frankly you deserve to lose.
@Billywhizzles@campbellclaret Must be weird to genuinely believe that Alistair Campbell, of the pro-free market neoliberal New Labour, who was expelled from the Labour Party for voting against democratic socialist Jeremy Corbyn, is a socialist.
@KiddJthe@thehorizon2b2t I’m not sure how you think evolution can create advanced enough technology to launch rockets in such high gravity? Sure, it could eventually be figured out, but I don’t see what evolution has to do with it.
@KBearK99@KobeissiLetter …..what?
We are experiencing a base reality which you are arguing against, and your argument is that if this reality did not exist, I wouldn’t acknowledge it?
Do you see the irony here at least?
