teacher, leader and learner at Hobsonville Point Secondary School & proud mama of my three little sidekicks. Home 💚 is Aotearoa NZ & also Bristol UK. She/her.
@HendoWest@GregPresland@BrookeLoader Would be awesome to include local schools as stakeholders too - no pools in new build schools - would love to have some options for water safety teaching nearby.
Excited to be @DARPLwales - 2024 conference - hearing first up from @childcomwales about the experiences of racism for Welsh children https://t.co/FQqzoNXyf3
@2degreesmobile the reception for data and calls is terrible in the middle of Hobsonville Point between and around the two schools. For the last week, calls have dropped, no data other than weak 3G available. It’s super patchy. Whereas elsewhere we have fast 5G. Please fix!
@sara_azbb Did she make you buy an Apple Giftcard? Because you can report it to Apple and they can block the account and transaction. Also report it to cyber crime (police / scam watch).
A programme of massive cuts; demolishing public services; privatising public assets; sacking civil servants; destroying regulations that protect workers, vulnerable people; supporting landlords against tenants; criminalising protest; restricting strikes. Anything ring a bell?
We're growing...so...Are you an awesome Maths teacher - come to work at our excellent kura @HPSSchool! Or do you know an awesome Maths teacher? Please share! https://t.co/s5KfW9X2EG
For those of you that are upset with National’s win, just remember:
Inflation will drop to sub 3%
Fuel will drop to sub $2/litre
We’ll all pay less tax, whilst having massive investment in Health & Education
AND debts going to be paid down quicker
Two leaders who have no understanding about how colonisation has impacted on tangata whenua have been elected to lead for the next three years. The fact that divisive, racist tactics got them in reminds me of the importance of transformative education. NZ has a lot of work to do.
@PointUser Could’ve early voted but quite like the excitement (political geek) of voting on election day. Even the half hour queue felt exciting. Lots of people enrolling to vote as well - cool to see.
National has not been upfront with voters about the real costs to working people to their proposed changes. Using data from the PREFU, we have quantified the impact. A couple aged 43 and under would lose $175,206 in super payments, after tax. A single person would lose $113,885.
