Naheed Nenshi on Indigenous turnout in the Alberta referendum: "The very people who've been hurt more by the mistakes of Canada than anybody else, stood up as the proudest champions of Canada."
Canada’s economy posted its fastest growth in three years in the second quarter of 2026. Exports are rising. Business investment is growing.
Our plan — to build our strength at home and diversify our trade partnerships abroad — is working.
Chapman's Ice Cream just did something EVERY Canadian needs to know about.
Canada's largest ice cream company used to source its fruits and nuts from U.S. suppliers — some for over 30 YEARS. Then, Trump imposed a 25% tariff on Canadian products.
So, what did Chapman's do?
They called Italy.
They called Spain.
They signed multi-year contracts with European suppliers.
And the Vice President put it perfectly:
"Even if Trump wakes up smarter than yesterday, we are about to sign long-term agreements with other countries — and the American companies supplying them will be left with nothing but their eyes to cry."
Oh, and on top of ALL that? They are FREEZING their prices so the average Canadian doesn't have to pay a single penny more.
It’s a family business. No shareholders. Just the Chapman family saying, "The least we can do is make sure Canadians can still afford ice cream."
This is what Canadian corporate pride looks like.
The next time you're at the grocery store — grab some Chapman's.
Every scoop of ice cream is a vote for Canada.

Drawing the Line: Why Canada Can and Will Walk Away From the U.S.
Canada's chief trade negotiator has given Washington a clear warning: if the U.S. goes ahead with its 50% tariffs, Canada will halt trade talks immediately.
For too long, the American government has assumed that Canada can be pressured into submission. But, Ottawa has now reached its absolute limit.
Canada does not need to rely on a single nation when it has already secured legally binding and literal free trade agreements with 51 different countries across the globe. (With more in the works)
While walking away from the American market will definitely cause economic pain, signed bad deals are much worse than no deal at all.
This is economic war.
Canada will hurt, but Canada will endure.
Canada simply refuses to give up its economic sovereignty.
If Washington triggers these harsh penalties on August 19, Canadian negotiators will stand up, walk out the door, and fly back to Ottawa.
This stance is the ONLY logical response to an American administration that cannot be trusted.
History shows that even if Canada makes compromises to get a so called 'deal', THIS current White House lacks the integrity to honour its legal commitments.
They routinely break promises whenever it suits them, making any new treaty practically worthless.
By threatening to freeze negotiations, Canada has taken back control of its own future.
Standing up to to the nation south of our border takes courage and involves hardship, but protecting our national dignity is worth it.
Conflicts and economic war hurts.
The message to the American team is simple: acknowledge our sovereignty and honour your promises, or prepare to find the Canadian seats at the negotiating table completely empty.
Canada's resilient.
The pain we feel now is for the successes for our future.
Canada always. Canada forever.

Dear Prime Minister Mark Carney,
You can “unban” booze from the US, and remove quotas on dairy, or any tariffs on US products… Canadians are smart and responsible.
We will NOT buy American products, and will never feed our kids American dairy or food products. We will always check the origin of the product…
It’s now our culture. We stand united in protecting Canada, regardless of your agreements with orange man.
Like if you agree ❤️🇨🇦
Canadian ambassador Ken Taylor rescued six American diplomats from Iran. Gander Newfoundland housed nearly 7,000 American airline passengers during 9/11. We fought alongside Americans in both world wars and the Korean War. And this two-faced fuck has the nerve to call us nasty👇
Socialism is what they called public power.
Socialism is what they called social security.
Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.
Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.

@cafreeland@MarkJCarney Congratulations @cafreeland You have what it takes to finally break down the internal trade barriers that have held Canada back for far too long.
@PierrePoilievre Call off the goon squads ... you say you aren't going to bring American values here... but the behaviour of your supporters say otherwise.
BREAKING NEWS:
Judge John Coughenour came out with the following statement after issuing a preliminary injunction on Trumps executive order for ending birthright citizenship.
"It has become ever more apparent that to our president, the rule of law is but an impediment to his policy goals.
The rule of law is, according to him, something to navigate around or simply ignore, whether that be for political or personal gain…
There are moments in the world's history where people look back and ask, ‘Where were the lawyers, where were the judges?" Coughenour said.
"In these moments, the rule of law becomes especially vulnerable. I refuse to let that beacon go dark today."
Thank you, Judge Coughenour!
RT if you agree with him! 💙
