@rettaric @MassDEP@AIRNow @WTIEnergy @KirstiePecci @FRRACS_MA @grumpygrumpyowl @nathanpboston MassDEP, while you’re at it.....why don’t you check the air quality in the neighborhoods that surround the broken down incinerator in Saugus? You continue to turn a blind eye and a deaf ear when it come to Wheelabrator aka WIN!
@rettaric @MassGovernor@MassDEP@Karynregal @nathanpboston @KirstiePecci Revere, Saugus, Lynn, Nahant and beyond need relief from this major polluter. The DEP and the Town of Saugus needs to make sure that there is no further expansion of this unlined ash landfill.
Wheelabrator Saugus incinerator is “an absolute horror show” said Town Mtg Member Martin Costello b/c noise, fires, pollution, smoke in EJ community @massdep @rettaric @GAIAnoburn@RoseLee_Vincent@CLF
@joegrav Funny how you pick and choose your associations with Mayor Arrigo when it suits you. You take credit for his accomplishments, yet don’t have an opinion on his taking the same SuperPAC $$. You can’t have it both ways.
@joegrav Funny, Joe. I don’t recall you denouncing this SuperPAC last Fall when they were trying to get your former boss Mayor Brian Arrigo re-elected. Why the double standard, Joe? Is it because Jess is a woman? What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. https://t.co/eajjagS4A5
So, fire in the boiler, releasing toxic smoke and fire knocked out the electricity? Or the electricity failed, so the filter system shut down, releasing toxic smoke? @MassDEP how many shutdowns before facility is considered unfit to operate? @clf@ColeRosengren@davabel@clemoult
Hey @WTIEnergy - if there was no fire at the Saugus incinerator as your cockamamie statement states, care to explain why fire trucks were still on scene after 6:30 PM this evening? @MassDEP@CharlieBakerMA Anyone? Anyone care to answer for anything this inicinerator does? #mapoli
@wbzSausville @WTIEnergy @wbznewsradio If it wasn’t for the news media and Saugus residents notifying the Saugus Fire Department, no doubt Wheelabrator would have tried to sweep this one under the rug. Thank you Suzanne and Capt. Nolan. #mapoli
@wbzSausville @WTIEnergy @wbznewsradio Hmm.... but there was no fire according to the company’s statement. Nothing to see here. Thank you, @wbzSausville for covering this and to the Saugus Fire Department for their efforts in containing what could have been a serious tragedy.
#Saugus Fire Captain Tom Nolan tells me one @WTIEnergy employee was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. No firefighters injured, but they did go thru a couple air tanks each time they went up that ladder to contain the fire inside a boiler. @wbznewsradio
Nation’s oldest incinerator @WTIEnergy in #Saugus is not “on fire”. The company which turns trash into electricity tells me there’s a fire inside a boiler, the electricity shut off & that’s why there’s so much smoke. The smoke & smell has given me a slight headache. @wbznewsradio
