@jilliancyork I've been eyeing up a pair from the Diadora Heritage collection for years and if you're willing to poke around a little you might still be able to find a pair of the silver lamé high tops.
@paul2dart * sage simple syrup
* dry it and use it year round
* dry it and give it as gifts
* pulverize or blender it w or w/o oil and freeze in cubes
* in savory baked goods
* with lentils or other protiens
* sage tea is my personal favorite
@A_Filter@Aviah_Sarah_Day @cmmonknowledge @GemCopeland@helveticade I was following @cryptpad development for a while, but I have not used it much recently. I would be careful of the data protection requirements for data from human research or any in any law, medical, or infrastructure practicum class. IRB?
Since April, I've been threat modelling Signal bots that offer VPNs & safety tools for protests and other sensitive situations.

This whole thread. Don’t just read the first tweet. This kind of attack is not unknown. It is essential for contextualising Portland. Caring about rights violations cannot be limited to citizens, “political speech,” or where you live.
🚨🚨🚨 UPDATE — At sunset last night, in a military-style assault, Border Patrol raided our humanitarian aid camp, chasing and arresting 30+ people who were receiving care and detaining all aid workers, whose phones were confiscated along w/ any video footage of the raid.
This is tragic. So many open source security and anti-censorship tools are now in danger because of the Trump admin's brazen attempt to take over @OpenTechFund. https://t.co/Q6qAaiuWy9
@KateRoseBee Knitter, not crocheter, but my issue with knitting blankets during the summer is that I end up having that partial blanket on me while I'm knitting and it's unbearably warm
Are we at a point where I can reference masks in trainings when I talk about how password strength and account hygiene matters even for accounts you don't care about because they can be hijacked and used to harm others? (Impersonation is also an issue, but that's only part of it)
@IndigenousXca @MordecaiPMartin Thank you not only for asking a question, but making a space for talking about this in a way that felt so much more like sharing than arguing <3
@MordecaiPMartin @IndigenousXca The more I think about this, the more I want to change it from saying it isn't about the viewer to saying that it isn't about just viewing, because @MordecaiPMartin's last sentence about the demand is really important.
@MordecaiPMartin @IndigenousXca I think this is mostly accurate, but I would say that it's not as much about indicting the viewer, but rather interrogating the motivations of the publisher/ person sharing- especially given when footage has a sensational wrapper
@IndigenousXca @MordecaiPMartin Terms like "trauma porn" often get coined to talk about something being used in a certain way, but then get used more broadly about the that thing, instead of just in that context. I think your initial question highlights why that is damaging and how it can further harm.
@IndigenousXca @MordecaiPMartin Absolutely. I have spent a lot of time working on human rights abuse documentation and supporting journalists working on this kind of stuff. Documenting and proving what happened can be so important and it is disgusting when that that trauma is capitalized on.
@IndigenousXca @MordecaiPMartin I mean when it's part of a story from a less than ethical media source with a sensationalist headline or when the copy around the photo or video is meant to hype up instead of inform. Does that make sense? I'm happy to try to clarify further if not.
