Pizza, beers and an open fire was an easy tonic for a rainy grey day today and then the sun came out on our walk home lighting up the climbing roses on the cottage walls ๐ฅ
In a week that Endometriosis is very much in the news @Emmabarnett@elliecolton_ wishing our lovely daughter Hannah all the luck and love for her endo surgery tomorrow. See you next week with lots of hugs and treats โค๏ธ #endometriosis
I've never been at a medical conference where the results have been greeted with a standing ovation
Tremendous breakthrough in pancreatic cancer treatment

Science
Not the quack pseudoscience of social media
Today we did a lovely eight mile circular walk from Slingsby to Hovingham and up through Firs Wood before heading back to the village. Good to get the legs going after weeks of doing jobs packing and getting ready to move house
There is approximately 8,000 km of dry-stone walls in the #YorkshireDales National Park โจ
Our volunteers work alongside our Rangers to maintain these iconic features.
Thank you to all of our fantastic volunteers for you skill and hard work ๐ช

I had evidence based deep excision endometriosis surgery 26 years ago which gave me my life back and then campaigned for women to have the right choices available to them on the NHS. So sad to read that young women are still opting for hysterectomy 1/ https://t.co/AZm40B9itp
@FionaMa41187163 So sorry to hear this. Sounds like a very similar situation to my daughter ( and me in my 30s). Dghtr is under care of Mr Andrew Baxter at The Jessop in Sheffield which is an endometriosis Centre. It looks like there is one in Aberdeen. GP should be able to refer there.
@Elainebks The private appointment was to see the NHS specialist privately more quickly as the integrated care board were arguing about who should fund the referral. Primary or Secondary care. Once she was seen privately they referred her to the NHS waiting list which took another year
Tomorrow on @BBCSheffield;
Playing my BBC #Endometriosis Documentary + my interview with @Emmabarnett on her BBC Two Doc on the condition (Tonight 9pm)
In the spirit of sharing personal storiesโฆ Iโd like you to share below the battles youโre going through in your lifeโฆโค๏ธ
