@drjanaway I have been working from home since 23rd March 2020. To be reviewed on 31st July 2020. Prior to CV19 I did not spend more than two days in a row at home. The isolation was at times unbearable. Video calls are not my thing. So big crowds is the UK for now really infuriates me
This was a fantastic session. I highly recommend organisations running such sessions. I found this network meeting inspiring and uplifting and given these past few months of challenges a much welcomed event
Just finished our first virtual women’s network meeting and at one point we had 78 attendees - wow!! Thanks to all who joined and contributed esp @nataliefox123@SFMassie for leading sessions. Don’t forget to feed in your suggestions on future meetings.
Speaking to colleagues on the psychiatric ward I'm based on
Many psychiatrists have come & gone over the years including those who garnered 'fame'
It didn't matter how well known or accomplished you were
It was very simple
The best psychiatrists
Were the ones who listened
@SharnaMandil You think you have issues....how about those of us that can remember you being in your mum's tummy....or worse those of us who remember your dad as a teenager
I am so proud to be British and would not change this for anything. I do however wish we had such a leader. New Zeland and Canada are two countries where I have a huge amount of jealously about how great their leaders are. This woman excites me. I believe her words, her emotions
New Zealand has eliminated transmission of the coronavirus and will lift all containment measures except for border curbs, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says, adding that she "did a little dance" upon hearing that the country had no active cases. https://t.co/gGz8WFHReJ
@CormacFenton I am one of those shielding. I have no idea why it was deemed safe to come out of shielding. I had to be forced to shield but now that I have and knowing those who died or were severely ill around me I am actually grateful to be shielding and think it is too soon.
@CormacFenton @BEHMHTNHS It is so sad that you have left. You are a fabulous Consultant. You do not need any wishes of luck as no doubt you will shine wherever you go. It really is very sad you have left
@DrVeisi Extremely lonely. I have severe asthma and even when everyone thinks I am on deaths doors I still come into work. I love my job and miss face-to-face interaction so much. I am grateful to be shielding but it comes with it's own set of misery. There is no winning situation
@elegantaphorism I have severe asthma, diabetes and a couple of other ailments. It is crap not having full health but you adjust.
Wishing your viral load remains stable. Long may you be undetectable xx
To the country Alanzo Smith is a name and a statistic. He is a fallen hero. To us in ECRHTT/ @BEHMHTNHS he is so much more.A truly fabulous colleague and a good friend. He is the worker that I would want if I was a patient. He will always be in our hearts. He will never be forgotten.
Today, the Trust I work in @BEHMHTNHS observed a two minute silence for my teammate Alanzo Smith, our fallen angel. This comes a week after our former teammate Sam Maja. The darkness of COVID 19 is real. It is a cruel disease and our work life will never be the same again. RIP
