Sad story: Lost my purse today at a rest stop and the worst part is because I lost something I can’t replace 😭

Gone is my Swiss Army knife, a month of meds, wallet (drivers license and X card), my coke bottle chapstick, and important other things

Yet those things are replaceable

What isn’t replicable is my blue SpaceX bandana as @SpaceX doesn’t sell them anymore. Even looked on eBay and no luck 😔

And yes, I filed a report with the sherif, and left a message to the rest stop managers of my county, yet if I don’t hear back within 7 days I’m gonna have even more of a bad time

Moral of the story, don’t ever take your purse into the rest stop. Just take what you need out before hand if anything, and just lock it away in the frunk of your Tesla

There are two conflicting ways to think about long-term investing.

On one side you have Buffett who is very conservative and will not invest in anything he doesn't have high confidence in.

Buffett will throw most stocks in the too hard pile rather than guess about the future.

On the other hand though, you have a more probabilstic way to think about long-term investing. This is closer to how Bill Miller thinks about investing, exemplified by his very early $AMZN bet.

An investor here may take positions whenever they feel like the risk/ reward payoff is strongly skewed in their favor.

That though means taking positions where there could be material downside risk, but the upside risk is so fantastic it can be considered to be justified.

This can lead to a bit of investor schizophrenia because you may want to follow Buffett by looking for a large margin of safety, but a lot of investments with large upside will not offer you that. Instead, the investor employing the second strategy can only reduce risk with lower position sizes and higher diversification.

COERs please continue speaking up and calling on BIGHIT MUSIC to implement timely solutions and prepare backup equipment to address such incidents. This is not only to protect Martin but also to ensure that all five CORTIS members can perform under the best possible conditions
