@Nucleo_Research got into @ycombinator (YC F25)!
1 in 6 people die from cancer.
And yet, in oncology, getting innovation into hospitals is painfully slow.
I’ve never really shared much online.
I wasn’t building for consumers -> so I didn’t think it mattered
But for the past few months, I’ve been working on something that could change how we fight cancer
It feels worth sharing
Incredibly grateful for this unbelievable opportunity @eoghan, I can’t begin to thank you enough. Building an AI startup makes SF the dream place to be, and having bootstrapped for last 5 months, getting there without this initiative would have been impossible.
Very excited to get over and immerse myself in the community of innovators shaping our future. Huge appetite to learn and meet as many people as possible in the AI space, so please reach out if you would like to chat or meet up!
To @AngelicaIAC and @TheIshanGoswami, looking forward to meeting you both next week; we undoubtedly have a very exciting summer ahead!
More to share in the coming weeks about what we are building.
We received well over 100 applications for this little program and will very soon be welcoming @AngelicaIAC from Milan, Italy, @TheIshanGoswami from New Delhi, India, and @ross_jackson_ from Meath, Ireland to San Francisco! :)
Some thanks…
1. To Liz and Katie on my team who did all the assessing and interviewing and made the final decisions. We had so many wonderful builders apply, and there was a lot of luck in the process. I'm sorry if we didn't pick you this time, but we will do it again and you're welcome to apply then too.
2. To @davefontenot who connected us with @HiveColiving where our visitors will be staying. It's an affordable community living option that seems great for people at this stage in SF.
3. To @AZapateroEIG who has offered to provide some immigration law advice, pro bono.
4. To others like @thomasschulzz, @safwaankay, @BrandonWaselnuk, @mistermedici and others, who offered them places to work, eat, and connect with the community.
5. And finally to two extremely generous donors who are each paying for one participant who wish to remain anonymous. 🙏 I'll open the program up to more donors next time.
I loved the positivity and support everyone showed this idea. The goal is to let more young builders access the opportunity here in SF. If you'd like to lean in further, please let these SF newbs know where and how they should meet more founders, find places to work, and go to a few parties too.
I'll find a way to update you all on their progress through the summer
