@AlPinkerton Hi Al. Thank you for your work in raising up the issues around Trifire and Adam Kiziak. Do you happen to know if anything has happened regarding the company - story seems to have gone very quiet.
Not a constituent but grateful for any thoughts.
[1/2] This week, we supported the visit of Hon Dr Stephen Modise @MOHBotswana meeting MPs, scientists and other allies in the fight against malaria. The Minister showed just how important @globalfund + @gavi are + why we need to work together to #ChangeTheStory and save lives.
Listen to Duncan folks ....
Twitter was incredibly helpful to listen and learn from individuals. But it's now impossible to see updates as the algo prioritises clickbait and the list function is basically broken.

#Egypt is officially #MalariaFree, certified by @WHO!
The 2nd African country in 2024 after Cape Verde, Egypt's success is testament to effective vector control strategies, well-trained health professionals and universal health coverage, and strong cross-border partnerships.
Really concerning numbers coming out from RBM at this year's UNGA. We're now at a tipping point on malaria - we find more funding, or we start a process of resurgence that will be deadly.
Important choices for donors and endemic countries - and the only one that makes sense is to give the funding to #endmalaria
New modelling prepared by @MalariaAtlas for @endmalaria and @ALMA_2030 announced at #UNGA79
If funding for malaria falls at the next @GlobalFund replenishment in 2025, we could see 337,000 more deaths between 2027 and 2029.
Leaders must prioritize malaria funding to #EndMalaria. It's #OurOnlyChoice.

I started my career as a #malaria researcher, and I longed for the day that we would have an effective vaccine against this ancient and terrible disease.
Now, @WHO recommends the use of two vaccines, RTS,S and R21, for children living in malaria endemic areas.
Every 2 minutes a child dies from malaria. Vaccines are among the key tools to save more children from deadly mosquito bites.

Newly elected members of the French parliament refusing to shake hands with the far right is extremely satisfying. A particular shout out to the rock paper scissors gag.
Congratulations to Côte d'Ivoire on rolling out the R21 #malaria vaccine! Both RTS,S and R21 are safe & effective vaccines, and they are expected to have high public health impact. Best protection for children will come from integrating these vaccines with other WHO-recommended interventions, tailored to local needs.
