[Words of Thanks and a Request for Understanding] 1. When I first received the gift and letter left by a Japanese fan at Nakwon Station café, I was a bit bewildered. And when flowers and a tree gift arrived at the office, I honestly felt a little pressured. 2. I even considered refusing more firmly, since I didn’t want any misunderstanding. But then I thought how much frustration must have built up for you to send your hearts even to me and so instead of rejecting it, I simply asked for a bit of restraint and expressed my gratitude. 3. I know that when love is given, that love grows; and when affection is expressed, that affection deepens. So I also wanted your feelings for the actor to be expressed and fulfilled just as they are. 4. I also believed that such feelings help energize and strengthen your efforts to save the actor and to restore the truth. 5. Then at some point, I realized that this very phenomenon itself forms an important part of the entire truth — a part that helps reveal the truth of this incident and show how wrongly Korean society has handled it. 6.
