@kait_oc Yep, I can understand the events where they directly respresent their country (DC etc) but normal tour events where they are individuals? Many self funding, not state funded etc? Or saying they should change citizenship to play? World is going crazy.

@TheBoiledEgg Yep, I find it very harsh on the individuals who have nothing to do with it. And sets a precedent of players refusing to play players they have political disagreements over & that being ok (see previous bad episodes of players refusing to play Israeli players & Peer's visa etc)

@Ratazana Yep, certainly something that would be abused by some (not athletes themselves but people trying to dodge any sanctions) I imagine sanctions will somehow try to avoid individuals like tennis players but perhaps it will only be those outside Russia (higher ranked as you said)

@Ratazana Yep, even higher ranked I would assume still have family, friends, sponsors etc in Russia. I could see perhaps exceptions being made for athletes (basically anyone who can argue they aren't connected to government maybe??)
