@LBC I bet she pays less than 45% on all her earnings despite being over the threshold for high earner. The joy of being that wealthy is you can funnel money around without paying much tax.
@lukejcr You were 5 pints deep on public subsidised beer in parliament when you wrote this weren't you? Why should I pay for you to be pissed up at work?
@peterkyle@BBCBreakfast This is the biggest step backwards in real terms of a progressive government. It may not be burning books directly but it is having the same effect on our youth. I was using proxy sites when I was 12 to get on games at school. You have only made it worse by kids now seeing more.
@OliverRyanUK I genuinely spend a lot of time talking coworkers out of voting for reform. They are populist fascists. However, in this one instance, they are actually correct. That worries me...
@peterkyle If you continue to enforce it, labour is finished. This is a tool for obscuring news and information like China's great firewall. All you have done is taught another generation how to use VPNs which exposes them to higher risks of coming across harmful content.
@BorisJohnson It's actually an economic boon- less commuting to London so more money spent locally. More hours in the day for work or recreation. The threat is large businesses not being able to centralise power which needed to happen for a long time.
@TheLittleWaster He's a fucking idiot. Unless he shuts down plimlico then he's still going to be paying UK tax. If he does shut it down he will have no income.
@tomhfh A struggling business can't save it's way out of a tight spot. It needs to invest which means a bigger state that looks to the long term infrastructure and increases the ability of business and people to make money. A smaller state would achieve the opposite result.
@JamesCleverly Reduce size of the state? Is that selling off the NHS, closing down councils, closing HMRC, closing prisons, closing courts or what? We are running on minimums. What can you possibly reduce? Unless you are proposing reduction of number of MPs or their salaries?
