Our new @libdems team in Brinsworth!
@DrAdamCart & Charlotte Carter elected to #Rotherham Borough Council AND 7 Lib Dems elected to Brinsworth Parish Council!
Thanks to everyone who put your trust in us this time.
We promise to work hard for the village all year round
Nancy is spot on, the Ombudsman report is clear that @SheffCouncil must accept their wrong doing & apologise. This apology must come from the Leader of Council Cllr Julie Dore and her deputy at the time @_OliviaBlake, they must both take personal responsibility for this shambles
It’s more of the same from Labour’s leaders. Rather than working to make the lives of residents better Labour prefers to spend their time arguing amongst themselves.
This infighting is typical of Rotherham Labour and just shows that they can’t change no matter what they may say.
Disappointing that Labour have again blocked a new business opening up Rotherham.
We need a council which works with business to create jobs - not a backwards-looking council that turns business away.
Labour's anti-business approach is holding our town back. Time for a change
Councillors have voted to reject an application for a new Lidl in Swallownest which was recommended for approval by officers, on the basis of the "detrimental" impact the new store would have on businesses in the centre of the village. Full story coming soon
Cllr @DrAdamCart & former MEP @shaffaqmohd visit Matki Chai in #Eastwood- a family business who are having to fight an anti-business Labour council just to keep trading.
Entrepreneurs investing in the town need our support
Instead #rotherham Labour are hellbent on stopping them
Brinsworth Senior Support is a vital community run organisation set up in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Charlotte and I have been pleased to do our bit to help out.
Visited the local food market, opening up after the Covid 19 Lockdown. Really important to support our local business as they open up, our local independent retailers have a been a lifeline to many during the shutdown. I hope local residents will remember these shops & businesses
There's never been a more important time to support our local businesses - as we emerge from the Coronavirus lockdown.
Thank you to all those who have been there for our community during these testing times.
“Did he sanction this? Did the Prime Minister himself say: ‘yes Dominic Cummings, this is ok’?”
Acting Lib Dem co-leader Ed Davey says "it cannot be right for those at the top to breach the rules that they have put on the rest of us”

“They’ve gone far too slow, and what’s happening in our care homes is a scandal.”
@EdwardJDavey tells @Peston the government had time to prepare for COVID-19 but chose not to, especially when it came to care homes. #Peston
Last week a tragic accident on Bawtry Road #rotherham took the life of a young man.
It's the latest in a series of horrific accidents on this road.
It's time for urgent action before more people are killed or injured.
Please sign this important petition https://t.co/lYjxsSBqyw
Sadly there has recently been another tragic accident on Bawtry Road in #Brinsworth.
It's time for urgent action before even more people are killed or injured on this busy road.
Please back our petition demanding action from the council NOW.

NEW: today I’ve proposed furlough scheme is extended & made more flexible, with a part-time option
& to stop mass redundancies when employees return, @libdems want a tapered approach to phasing out wage support
Govt must not end it too quickly
